Just received an offer from a boutique local model consulting firm at the Sr. Consultant level. $135k base, 10% bonus, fully paid benefits. I have an MBA, 6 years of functional industry experience, 2 years in an internal consulting role and have been in a client facing role for the past year. Also in the interview process with a couple big4. Trying to decide if the travel is worth it for the opportunity to get a big4 name on my resume with the ability to specialize. I think the local firm will be much more general mgmt consulting and I will have a general niche, but be much less specialized. The culture at the local model seems great and they work with all the local F500 companies. What other factors should I be considering?
