Excuse formatting as I am typing from my phone.
I was recently laid off from my job as a relationship manager/branch manager of a local financial institution. No fault of my own…it appears my ex CEO used the company as his personal checkbook and layoffs were widespread.
I have an MBA and decent leadership experience from work and a number of charitable boards. My questions are:
Should I be applying as a junior level consultant to be more competitive or as an experienced hire? It feels like junior as my experience isn’t specific enough alone.
What are some ways (certifications, education, skills) I can gain more competitive advantages?
Ultimately I would love to work in a more boutique firm specializing in financial institutions but an open to any advice. Thanks so much in advance!
